Banging Beefless Lasagne


360g The Unbelievable ALT. Mighty Beefless Mince
6 Lasagne sheets, cooked and refreshed if using dried

Ragu Sauce

2 Onion, finely chopped
1 Celery stalk, finely diced
¼ Leek, finely diced
3 Garlic cloves, crushed
2 tsp Dried oregano
3 Bay leaves
2 tbsp Marmite
200ml Red wine
2x 400g Tin chopped tomatoes
Salt & ground black pepper
½ Bunch fresh basil, roughly chopped

White Sauce

50g Butter
50g Plain flour
400ml Milk

25g Grated parmesan (half in white sauce, half sprinkled on top)

    Sweat the onion, celery and leeks for 5-10 minutes until translucent. Add the garlic and cook for 2 minutes

    Add the red wine, bay leaves and oregano, reduce until almost dry

  • 3

    Add the tomatoes and marmite and cook for about 20 minutes or until slightly thickened

    Make white sauce with béchamel method whilst the sauce thickens

    In a separate frying pan cook The Unbelievable ALT. Mighty Beefless Mince as per the pack instructions, then add into the tomato ragu sauce

    Season to taste and add basil

    Layer the pasta sheets and the mince, finishing with a layer of white sauce

  • 8

    Sprinkle with parmesan and bake at 180c for 35 minutes
